Maari gets M2A boost

THE Maari partners have started producing from a second hydrocarbon-bearing formation, the Miocene-aged M2A sandstones, at the Maari oil field platform off Taranaki, New Zealand, according to minority partner Cue Energy Resources.

Cue said today flow testing of the M2A appraisal-development well, MR9, would continue for several days, after which the well was expected to provide incremental oil production to the existing five production...
