EnerMech catches Persephone wave

WOODSIDE Petroleum’s Persephone project on the North West Shelf has gifted UK mechanical engineering firm EnerMech its first break with Subsea 7 in the Australian oil and gas market.

Subsea 7 awarded EnerMech a contract to perform a range of subsea flowline and umbilical pre-commissioning on both projects.
 
It was the first time EnerMech had scored a contract from Subsea 7, although it has already supplied to large-scale oil, gas and LNG projects in Australia, with several bases in-country including Perth, Melbourne, Darwin and Gladstone.
 
As it already undertakes specialist testing work on the North Rankin Complex for Wood Group PSN, EnerMech believes it can offer continuity and familiarity with Woodside and North Rankin requirements.
