NEARLY 1200 rigs have been left inactive and de-manned worldwide compared to last year, as the oil price crash continues to ripple through international markets.

Baker Hughes' latest rig count released this month showed that Australia lost a further three rigs over the prior month.  Overall, the US rig count is down 691 units compared to this time last year....
