As a leading manufacturer and supplier of bulk and specialty products to the resources sector, our client is seeking a talented professional to manage business demand for primary raw materials in a complex supply and demand environment.

Reporting to the Procurement Services Manager, this vital role maximises business outcomes and manages all financial and operational aspects of contracts and trading relationships for the supply of commodity product and utility resources. It will involve considerable materials and logistics management activities and the ability to move from a fully competitive market mindset to dealing with a number of regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities include promoting SH&E standards; development of commodity strategies to meet business forecasts; nomination of daily utility demand; management of utility vendor relationships; attendance at corporate and public forums; and submissions to regulatory bodies.

As a commercially astute professional with significant experience in contract management, you will have tertiary qualifications and experience gained in the utilities, commodities, chemical processing, or heavy manufacturing industry sectors. Your interpersonal awareness and ability to influence stakeholders will be complemented by your initiative, advanced negotiation skills, problem solving ability, financial acumen and analytical rigour.

International trading experience and SAP knowledge will by highly regarded.
