EXXONMOBIL will contribute US$10 million over the next five years as the first industry founding partner at the new Singapore Energy Centre, led by the Nanyang Technological University and National University of Singapore.

Singapore university collaboration to address energy needs and climate 

The centre is designed to advance what ExxonMobil calls ‘next-generation technologies'  with a focus on meeting the world's increasing energy needs while addressing climate change risks. 
 
It is the oiler's first research and development partnership outside the US, though it works with 80 universities in the US, Europe and Asia and is a founding member of the Stanford Strategic Energy Alliance, MIT Energy Initiative, Princeton E-filliates Partnership and the  University of Texas at Austin Energy Institute.
