Technical glitch delays SWERF project yet again

Energy Development announced this week that testing at its SWERF plant in Wollongong had been 'temporarily suspended' due to a technical glitch with the char handling system.

Share market traders and analysts alike were not impressed as the technical glitch means the waste-to-energy technology will take longer to come on stream than previously anticipated. The share price fell 35c on the announcement of the delay to finish at $5.99. One analyst who has been quite sceptical of SWERF technology has downgraded the stock to outright sell.
