The Eifel wind farm consists of four sites in the Rhineland-Palatinate region and is independently valued at 42.15 million euros (A$67.13 million).

BBW said it would pay 9.25 million euros (A$14.73 million) for the farm with the balance of payment to comprise 32.40 million euros in limited recourse finance and 500,000 euros in working capital.

The farm currently has 15 turbines, with a combined capacity of 22.5 megawatts.

Another three turbines currently under construction are expected to start operating early this year.

Four additional turbines are also planned for development. This would take total capacity for the farm to 35 megawatts, with an estimated long-term energy production of 69.7 gigawatt hours per year.
