THERE is nothing new in a pincer move. Historians can trace it back to the battle of Marathon in 490BC when a small Greek army defeated a bigger Persian army in a move which Slugcatcher can see being replicated in Andrew Forrest’s attack on the oil industry.
Just as size was not an issue in the Greek defeat of the Persians, or later pincer moves such as Germany's blitzkrieg on France in 1940, so too is Forrest a minnow (and a novice) in the oil world.
