Magnis' consortium to develop India's first Lithium-ion battery gigafactory

POWER plant equipment manufacturer, state-owed Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), and a consortium led by Magnis Energy, called Libcoin, have agreed to develop India’s first lithium-ion battery gigafactory for the country’s blossoming electric vehicle industry.

Plans for the gigafactory development will initially start with the construction of a 1 gigawatt hour lithium ion battery plant, which will be scaled up to 30GWh in due course.
