THE UK government has committed £800 million (A$1.6B) to a carbon capture and storage infrastructure fund in its annual budget, establishing two CCS clusters by 2030.

UK chancellor Rishi Sunak said the new clusters will create around 6000 jobs in areas including Teeside, Hymberside, or St Fergus in Scotland.
