Dron & Dickson business development manager Tom Irwin said the company had been working closely with Rowan Drilling over the past few years.

The company designs, supplies, installs and maintains hazardous area electrical equipment.

It has more than 300 employees both off and onshore and has bases in Aberdeen, Hull, Lowestoft, Stirling, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Brazil.

Besides its oil and gas sector activities, Dron & Dickson operates in the renewables and decommissioning markets.

It also works in a variety of sectors ranging from pharmaceuticals to distilleries.
