BG boosts coffers with CATS sale

BG Group has agreed to sell its 62.78% stake of the Central Area Transmission System gas pipeline and associated infrastructure in the UK North Sea to Antin Infrastructure Partners under a £562 million ($A1.02 billion) deal.

The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2014 with £523 million to be paid at this stage and 39 million due as deferred payment. BG said the sale would not impact its rights...
