GoM industry to be tested on spill readiness

US REGULATORS will test deepwater operators in the Gulf of Mexico with a three-week exercise to see if the industry can respond to another Macondo-like incident.

The exercise will last for three weeks and employ the Marine Well Containment Company, an industry body set up to respond to emergencies in the Gulf.
