Horizon Oil has appointed well-respected industry figure, Bob Laws, to the board as a non-executive director. Laws was Primary Industries of South Australia Petroleum director from 1973-2001 and exploration manager for Elf Aquitaine prior to that.
Horizon chairman Fraser Ainsworth said Laws had a unique blend of private sector technical management and senior level public sector experience.
Laws has won numerous industry awards, among them the Prestigious "Lewis Weeks" gold medal.
