Personnel

Ivan Burgess, former managing director of Norwest Energy, confirmed that he had resigned from the junior explorer two weeks ago to take up a non executive board position with Perth-based, London-listed, Black Rock Petroleum. At press time, NWE had (still) not yet released the news to the market.

Contact Energy has enlarged its gas team to help it compete in the fast-approaching post-Maui age. It has recently taken on former Adelaide-based Santos team member Alex McAlpine as its upstream gas specialist.

Imdex has appointed two new members to the board, Ross Kelly and Kevin Dundo, while Michael Gasson has resigned as a director after being on the board since the company listed in 1987.

Chris Burnup has joined Reputation Qest as CEO, based in Melbourne. She previously was CEO of the Australian Minerals and Energy Environmental Foundation.
