Offshore Gippsland gas gets supermajor attention

EXXONMOBIL subsidiary Esso Deepwater Gippsland has confirmed it has commenced drilling of two exploration wells in the VIC P70 block, 90 kilometres offshore from the East Gippsland coast in Victoria to increase east coast supply from the dwindling basin.
