The major French service company, which operates globally, says it is only one of eight companies in the world, and the only energy company top receive the gong from the Netherlands-based body.
"This certification underlines the quality and consistency of Technip's human resources practices and policies around the globe. It also recognises that the company strives to improve continuously its global employment practices," Technip said in a statement this morning.
The project management, engineering and construction firm described the TEI as a specialist in the field of international research into HR management and working conditions.
Its certification program comprises a comprehensive analysis of organisations' HR environment, through the examination of 600 HR practices.
The organisations examined were assessed based on several criteria covering all HR aspects, from talent strategy, learning and development, career management to compensation and benefits, or culture.
This year again, Technip has also been certified as a Top Employer in 24 of the 45 countries it has a presence: Australia, Brazil, China, Colombia, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Norway, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, the Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, US, Venezuela and Vietnam - as well as in three regions: Asia Pacific, Europe and Latin America.
"This is now six years that Technip has been recognised as a Top Employer in various countries and regions, and the second time in a row that our company gets the global recognition," Technip's group human resources director Thierry Parmentier said.
"This is positive evidence that despite the challenging context we are facing, we continue to make every effort to take our people further by implementing and applying ambitious HR policies and practices everywhere we operate and by offering our employees professional development and international opportunities, regardless of their gender, origin or cultural background."
Top Employers Institute's CEO David Plink said that since 2011, Technip had demonstrated its commitment to "stand out as an employer of choice" across all the regions in which the firm was active.
"On top of that, the company is part of the very select group of employers recognised as Top Employer Global for 2015 and 2016. This exclusive worldwide certification underlines the excellence of Technip's employee value proposition across the globe," Plink said.
The award comes just a week after the company received Gold Class distinction for its sustainability performance in the ‘Energy Equipment and Services' sector according to the 2016 RobecoSAM Sustainability Yearbook
Technip has also been listed in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices for the 13th consecutive year.
RobecoSAM's annual Sustainability Assessment assesses the performance of 2,126 companies in 59 sectors across the globe.
