Transport Workers Union organiser Rick Burton told MiningNews.net that member pilots voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action in a secret ballot vote that wrapped up yesterday.
"We plan to have a meeting with our pilots, probably within the next fortnight, no later than a fortnight, to consider which out of all those questions or all of them, what action we'll start taking," Burton said.
Burton said the pilots voted in favour for 10 industrial action types including four, eight and 48-hour work stoppages.
The union organiser added that the TWU had not yet met with National Jet however hopes to hold a meeting soon following the outcome of the secret ballot vote.
National Jet counts Santos and Bristow Helicopters among its clients and transports FIFO workers in Western Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory.
Burton said industrial action could take place within the next 30 days - starting from yesterday - and the TWU will have to give three days notice to National Jet of any action that will take place.
