Transport Workers Union organiser Rick Burton told MiningNews.net that following talks with the air services carrier over the past few days, a collective agreement would be mailed to the pilots tomorrow.
Burton said the agreement wasn't exactly what the pilots had been seeking, but a meeting to decide whether National Jet's offer is acceptable would be held late next week.
Pilots were originally chasing a union collective agreement, with pilots in Perth voting for a 24-hour work stoppage before being vetoed by pilots in Darwin and Cairns last week.
Pilots are currently on workplace agreements.
National Jet transports FIFO workers in Western Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory. Santos, Bristow Helicopters and various mining companies are among its clients.
