Bendall is back

THE ghost of onshore Tasmanian oil exploration's past is on the move again, with Lucas Jacometti, founder and pastor of the C3 Church in South Hobart, the latest man of god prepared to go chasing black gold in Tasmania's Central Highlands, in partnership with self-styled prophet and oil hunter Malcolm Bendall, who has just resurfaced after six months of silence, and European backing.

Jacometti, described as "a prominent Hobart church leader" by The Mercury newspaper, shares a belief with Bendall that Tasmania is swimming on a sea of oil that is the equivalent of a "rich Arab state"....
