Gas' share of NEM drops as renewables ramp up: EQ

NATIONAL Energy Market generation overall to December was the same as a year earlier but gas-fired generation was down 809 gigawatt hours, or by a fall of 44%, while coal was down 378GWh as renewables' took the place of both, according to consultancy firm EnergyQuest's quarterly finishing December.
