Santos inks sale agreement for PNG LNG

SANTOS has reached a deal with Papua New Guinea's state oil company Kumul Petroleum announcing a staged divestment of a minority interest worth US$1.1 billion (A$1.7 billion).

  Kumul had looked to acquire 5% of the PNG LNG project a year ago, but under a revised transaction will take 2.6% for US$576 million cash and an assumption of US$169 million in project finance debt....
