Shervington will take on the role of lead director due to chairman Greg Hancock's continuing role as executive chairman and will be immediately appointed to a number of board sub-committees.

Cooper Energy has interests in six Cooper Basin permits. The company has had three discoveries in 14 months in the first two permits drilled, including Sellicks-1 and Christies-1 in PEL 92 and Worrior-1 in PEL 93.
Cooper also participates in joint venture oil production from Sellicks (750bopd) and Christies due on stream by October (oil production up to 500bopd).
