Under the proposed ACCC reshuffle, the current executive director of the National Competition Council, Ed Willet, would assume special responsibility for the energy sector. However, the ACCC will still retain the services of major energy manager, Joe Dimasi.

The Federal Government will next month receive the Parer report on national energy reform, which is expected to spark a regulatory tug-of-war between the Commonwealth and the states.
