The donation includes 10 Paradigm software solution applications that provide students with exploration and production subsurface imaging technology.
The donation is aimed at equipping tomorrow’s industry leaders with cutting-edge geosciences technology and to support students as they pursue careers in this field, Paradigm’s chief marketing officer Andrew Stein said.
“The Australian School of Petroleum is a premiere school for geosciences, and Paradigm wanted to directly engage future experts by introducing them to the newest technology,” he said.
“Geophysics students are the future leaders of many applied geo-engineering industries, particularly global oil and gas exploration. We want to contribute to their success in science and business as they confront the unique challenges of this field.”
Australian School of Petroleum head Professor Richard Hillis said the software donated by Paradigm would give students and staff access to a suite of state-of-the-art geoscience applications for teaching and research.
“The school’s research capacity will be enhanced, and our students will gain experience with industry-leading software, which they will likely use in their careers after graduation,” Hillis said.
