BG, CNOOC sign agreement

BG GROUP has signed a binding agreement with the China National Offshore Oil Corporation for the sale of certain assets in Queensland for $1.93 billion.

CNOOC will acquire additional assets at the Queensland Curtin LNG plant and has secured an extra 5 million tonnes per year of LNG.
