Rogue trader jailed

SYDNEY-based day-trader Nigel Derek Heath has been sentenced to two years and three months' prison for manipulating the share price of a number of speculative stocks listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, including junior oilers Petsec Energy and Orca Energy.

Last October Heath, of Wahroonga, pled guilty to two charges of market manipulation, following an investigation by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission into his trading activities
