The Brisbane-based CSM producer told the market yesterday the gas sales agreement signed with Dyno Nobel would see it supply 7 petajoules of low-pressure CSM per annum from mid-2009 for 15 years.

The ammonia nitrate produced from this plant will be used to supply Dyno’s customers in the Bowen Basin coal fields.

The deal wraps up a memorandum of understanding signed in April 2006 between Dyno and CH4, which was taken over by Arrow several months later.

Arrow chief executive Nick Davies said the gas sales agreement further progressed his company’s strategy to target higher margin gas markets than power generation.

“The importance of Dyno’s project is evidenced by the granting of State Significance status by the Queensland Government, and this in turn underlines the growing importance of CSG as a growth driver to the Queensland economy,” Davies said.
