Woodside expands Gulf of Mexico position as Shell dominates bid round

Woodside Energy reported on social media that it has been involved in a successful outing at the US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) operated upstream bid round, building upon its existing position in the Gulf of Mexico. Woodside said on 6 January that it was named highest bidder in 18 blocks in Lease Sale 261 in the US Gulf of Mexico. Meanwhile, Shell took the lion’s share of acreage.
