Salesman Gallop heads WA delegation to Mid-East

West Australian Premier Geoff Gallop will this weekend put on his salesman hat and head a 91-memb...

As well as delegates from the resources and agricultural sectors, the trade drive will also include representatives from WA's oil and gas industry, who will brimming with confidence after winning the $25 billion China LNG deal.

During the six-day tour, Dr Gallop will open a WA trade and investment promotion office in Dubai, as well as visit Abu Dhabai and Sharjah.

The Government hopes the trade office will act as a catalyst for attracting investors from across the Middle East to projects in Western Australia.

The aim of the new office will be to identify and promote trade and investment opportunities and build relationships throughout the Middle East, as well as encourage governments to bring trade missions to WA.
