QUEENSLAND start-up Wildfire Energy has been awarded a A$200,000 state government grant to commercialise its moving injection horizontal gasification (MIHG) technology to turn waste into hydrogen.

Wildfire Energy aims to tackle waste and emissions

The company will use the funding to upgrade its existing MIHG pilot plant to separate and purify hydrogen and to demonstrate the use of purified hydrogen to power fuel-cell vehicles.
