In a report published by the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Co, Toa Corp, an unidentified third Japanese firm and Taiwan’s CTCI Corp won the contract to “engineer and construct as well as procure building materials for an LNG receiving terminal planned in Taiwan”.
“They received the order from Chinese Petroleum Corp, a public company,” added the daily which said construction of the facility is slated to begin in January 2008. Ishikawajima-Harima will, apparently, earn half of the US$324 million.
