UMAS warns EU $250 million LNG investment will have no effect on greenhouse emis

A RECENT study from the University Maritime Advisory Services found that despite the EU investment of US$250 million into LNG-refuelling capacity which was matched by commensurate private sector investment there will be no significant climate benefits to switching from heavier shipping fuels to LNG.
