Quadrant takeover a welcome surprise for Carnarvon

CARNARVON Petroleum was as surprised as anyone by yesterday’s announcement that Santos was spending US$2.15 billion in an all-cash takeover of its Phoenix project partner Quadrant Energy, with upside based on exploration on the North West Shelf project they share.
