BHP Billiton to drop NZ listing

BHP Billiton yesterday announced it would be dropping its New Zealand Stock Exchange listing.

The company said following a review of its secondary listing as an overseas issuer on the NZSX, it has determined it is no longer appropriate to maintain the listing. Shares in BHPB were not traded on the NZSX.

BHPB will cease to be listed on the NZSX after the close of trading (New Zealand time) on Friday, 30 April, although it said shareholders will also continue to receive notices and reports from the company.

After the delisting, announcements will no longer be made to the NZSX but will be posted on BHP Billiton’s website.
