AWE, Prosafe waiting for Tui penalty

TUI oil field operator Australian Worldwide Exploration and FPSO owner-operator Prosafe Production will have to wait to find out their punishment for spilling about 23,000 litres of oil-contaminated water off the Taranaki coast last October.

Today's Taranaki Daily News reports that Judge Stanley Thorburn heard submissions from counsel representing the two companies and Maritime New Zealand in the New Plymouth District Court yesterday.
