The two contracts have been awarded by Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC), have an approximate value of 235 million Euro (US$288 million), and are due to be finished in 2007.
“The first contract covers the fabrication and load out of a template and two jackets and associated piles, with a total weight in excess of 45,000 tons [and] the second contract involves the transport and installation activities for the two platforms including a template, two jackets and two topsides,” said Saipem.
Saipem had previously similar contracts for Phases One and Two of the ACG project.
