Second find likely, OK: Red Fork

RED Fork Energy has made another potential oil discovery at its second West Tulsa well in Oklahoma, with a log analysis indicating a probable hydrocarbon pay of about 45 feet.

The company said the log analysis highlighted three hydrocarbon bearing zones - the Prue, Skinner and Red Fork sands - and it is currently completing the well in preparation for a production test.

Following the encouraging results from the two wells at West Tulsa, Red Fork said it would drill a third well in the project in the next seven to 10 days.

Earlier this month, Red Fork's first West Tulsa well encountered a probable hydrocarbon pay of about 30 feet in the Red Fork sand primary objective.

Initial production results from the second West Tulsa well are expected in the next 30 days.

Red Fork owns 100% of the West Tulsa project.
