If ever there was an important local event to learn from, then that was it. Victoria was shut down for a couple of weeks.

The Victorian Government, Jeff Kennett at the time, and previous governments, had no vision of it ever happening and had not ensured that there were other options in place.

After the lessons learnt, I don't think anything ever happening at Longford in the future is going to bring Victoria to its knees.

The WA government had an opportunity to learn 10 years ago and didn't.
