The week in review

Next week, Adelaide's hotels, bars and restaurants will be full to brimming as the annual jamboree that is the Australian Energy Producer's Conference comes to town.

And of course, Energy News Bulletin will be there.

The three-day event at the city's convention centre is the place for the oil and gas sector – and to a lesser extent the renewables sector, to meet and mingle and catchup with colleagues, customers and clients.

It's also an opportunity to hear from a huge array of the industry's leaders from a myriad of presentations and panel discussions during what is undeniably a packed agenda.

Because let's face it, whatever technological marvels we have at our disposal to ease our communication woes, there is simply no substitute for real face time (note, not, FaceTime).

Business is still a human interaction, built on trust and reliance, with a fair smattering of economics. And that's why conferences like next week's – and their social events – are crucial milestones on the industry's calendar.

If you're going to be in Adelaide and would like to catch up, just drop me a line.

Wishing everyone attending an enjoyable and successful conference week.

Bring it on, Radelaide.

Yours,

Russell Yeo
