The plant will have a generation capacity of around 30 MW. The facility will consist of two 15 megawatt units with two 18MW steam boilers and steam turbines.
Each boiler is expected to provide 75 tonnes of steam per hour at a pressure of 1,300 psig and 500 degrees Celsius.
The power plant is designed to combust woodchips by conveying and blowing them onto a travelling grate within the boiler. The spent steam is then condensed through a cooling tower and recycled to the boiler.
