The plant is part of Stage II of the Camden Gas Project, 50 kilometres south-west of the Sydney CBD.

Sydney Gas has also completed the construction and installation of the gas gathering system connecting the Stage II production wells to the RPGP. The underground steel sales line that connects the RPGP to the main gas transmission line has also been completed.

Meanwhile, drilling continues on Sydney Gas’ 20 production well program located on Crown land near Camden.

The company plans to tie these new production wells, plus the other 40 Stage II production wells already drilled and completed, into the gas gathering system that will deliver gas to the RPGP.

The gas gathering system and the sales line have been pressure-tested and hydro-tested and will undergo final commissioning shortly.
