Clean break needed: Ashurst

LAW firm Ashurst has revealed the behind-closed-doors machinations of Jemena’s Darling Downs Pipeline purchase, which included the acquisition of multiple subsidiaries that “needed a clean break” from Origin Energy.

Origin reaped more than it planned last week when it sold the pipeline to Chinese-controlled concern Jemena for $392 million, which pushed its asset divestment total to $1 billion, $200 more than targeted....
