US bans Russian oil and gas

US president Joe Biden signed an executive order to ban Russian oil, natural gas, coal and liquids overnight, while the UK placed a ban on crude alone, in a further ratcheting up of pressure on the Russian economy in response to the country’s invasion of Ukraine.
