Oil prices ease

OIL prices fell at the beginning of the week following high inflation figures in the US but began rising again at the end of the week on signs of increasing industrial output in the US and China.

In New York, the West Texas Intermediate benchmark crude fell below $US70 a barrel on Monday and stayed below that price for the rest of the week, while in London, Brent crude traded below $69/bbl all
