Hays regional director Simon Winfield said the “continued momentum of the job market” in the state forced the company to open the new Hays Resources & Mining office to deal with the growing work offered.

“Organic growth in the Hays Resources & Mining business and new growth through the establishment of Hays Oil & Gas also contributed to the need to expand our premises and staff,” Winfield said.

The agency said demand exists across the board with most technical sectors facing a skills shortage.
