Breathing easy soon compulsory

A COLLABORATION between the UK Civil Aviation Authority and manufacturer Survitec, called Step Change in Safety, has led to the development of an emergency breathing system and lifejacket for offshore helicopter flights.

Step Change said more than 26,100 people in the UK had been trained in use of the breathing system so far, representing almost the entire core offshore workforce. The CCA approved the new breathing system...
