The Arabdrill 60 B-class jack-up rig was the second delivered to Arabian Drilling Company by Keppel and was five days ahead of schedule, on budget and boasted a spotless safety record.

The delivery caps off a massive year for Keppel, with its previous benchmark for deliveries sitting at 13 in 2009.

"Building a KFELS B-class jack-up rig involves coordination among multiple parties and over a thousand workers," Keppel Offshore & Marine managing director Wong Kok Seng said.

"This year, we had some 45 projects going on at the same time.

"We streamlined the building process through new technology and equipment as well as having an innovative construction methodology.

"All our departments worked seamlessly together to set new benchmarks."
