Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer the New Ventures Manager is primarily responsible for effectively managing the national and international new ventures activity to enhance Beach’s asset portfolio.

Day-to-day responsibilities of the position include:

  • The effective management and development of direct reports in order to build a successful and cohesive team

  • Contribution to expanding the existing exploration portfolio within Australia (conventional and unconventional), North & East Africa and Central & Eastern Europe

  • Making recommendations to actively pursue countries and opportunities, both nationally and internally, that are within Beach’s areas of interest.

We are seeking an experienced leader with demonstrated commercial acumen and strategic thinking. The ability to research and understand the requirements for government and community consultation as well as legislative and environmental requirements, in various countries, is a requirement. Extensive experience in successfully building and managing productive and positive teams is critical.

The successful applicant will hold tertiary qualifications in geology or geophysics and have held a similar role within the oil and gas industry.
