At press time it is not known how oil would be supplied and how much the deal is worth. However, the deal will be for a year and it will be up for annual renewal.

Gabon is the third largest producer of oil in Africa, with proven reserves of around 2.5 billion barrels. In 2002, according to World Bank estimates, the country exported around US$2.1 billion worth of oil.
